About 2 Week Notice Template

2 Week Notice Template is a free website for writing a resignation letter. It has a writer that builds a two weeks' notice from four answers, twelve ready-made letters you can download, and guides on what to say and when to say it.

How the writer works

The 2 week notice template writer does not use a chatbot or an online service to write. Every sentence it uses was written by hand in advance, in three tones and for each common reason for leaving. When you answer the four questions, the writer picks the sentences that fit your answers, puts in your names and your exact last day, and checks the result: the date is right, the letter stays under a page, and nothing in it blames anyone.

All of that happens in your browser. What you type is not sent to us or stored anywhere, and closing the page clears it. "New wording" swaps in different hand-written sentences for the same answers, and "Edit text" lets you change anything yourself.

The downloadable letters

The twelve letters on the site, plus a general resignation letter template, come as Word, PDF and plain text files. They are built from the same sentences as the writer, with blanks in square brackets for your details. There is no sign-up and no limit.

What this site is not

It is not legal advice. Notice periods can be set by a contract, a union agreement or company policy, and rules about final pay and leave vary by state. Check your own documents, and your state labor department when pay is involved.
